Arcelor Mittal Dofasco has been part of the Hamilton skyline for as long as most of us can remember. It was no surprise when they came to Nimlok Canada looking for a travelling display to celebrate their 100th Anniversary. The artifacts and information needed to be portable to travel to various anniversary celebrations and community awareness events, while still showing the permanence and stability of a  long established company.

In the end, ten double- sided information panels were designed.  Freestanding panels would allow for the flexibility to change positions in the various exhibiting locations known and unknown. The panels were constructed of fabric and aluminum extrusion which were perfect for its lightweight properties. This would ease the cost of shipping and was easy to disassemble to pack small.

On each panel, we had artifact display stands, some with plexi covers and some without, inviting you to touch the past. Each panel had an opportunity for the artifact stands to be moved to any of the four corners or removed completely. This foresight also helped to deal with the constraints of the changing locations and traffic flow.

Nimlok Canada’s mobile museum design allowed Arcleor Mittal Dosfasco to celebrate their rich history on the move and with style.
